Canada announces dumping margins in plate investigation

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has announced its final determinations in the dumping investigation in respect of imports of certain hot rolled carbon steel plate and high-strength low-alloy steel plate originating in or exported from India and Russia and its final determinations in the subsidy investigation in respect of certain hot rolled carbon steel plate and high-strength low-alloy steel plate originating in or exported from India. As a result of the final injury inquiry, the CBSA has terminated the subsidy investigation in respect of certain hot rolled carbon steel plate and high-strength low-alloy steel plate originating in or exported from Russia. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal is continuing its inquiry into the question of injury to the domestic industry and will make a finding by January 6, 2016. The dumping margins stand at 98.1 percent for India and range between 15.3 percent and 98.1 percent for Russia. The products in question currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7208.51.00.10, 7208.51.00.94, 7208.52.00.92, 7208.51.00.91, 7208.51.00.95, 7208.52.00.93, 7208.51.00.92, 7208.52.00.10, 7208.52.00.94, 7208.51.00.93, 7208.52.00.91 and 7208.52.00.95.
