China’s raw coal output to decline to 3.6 billion mt in 2016

Amid the overall sluggishness seen in China’s coal industry, increasing losses are expected to be incurred by more coal enterprises in China. It is expected that China’s raw coal output will total 3.758 billion mt in 2015, down three percent year on year, according to a new report issued by Chinese news research portal. The report in question states that China’s raw coal output is expected to decrease to 3.6 billion mt in 2016, down 4.2 percent year on year.
China's coal sector has been hit hard by sluggish demand caused by slowing industrial activity, stronger hydropower output and the government's battle against pollution. The coal industry has helped strike a balance between the country's energy supply and demand, marking a good start to the social and economic development, said Xiao Yuanping, Sales Manager of the Seko Machinery & Technology Co.,Ltd(www.gdsko.com, The main products are SS pipe making machine and Decorative Tube Mill).” It was noted that greater efforts should be made to maintain a balance between supply and demand, ensure a stable coal market, and properly control coal consumption.”
